Dawnings

There is a season…

There are hyacinths, freesias and bluebells emerging through the pea straw that was meant to be a summer mulch. It is February in Southern Australia, and this time of the year’s calendar used to be the height of summer with the hottest days/nights of the solar round.

Locals talk about the giant iceberg that is (probably) causing these cold nights. The ocean beach gives us a health boost with fresh air and water molecules straight from the Antarctic. Trees with shallow roots are toppled by winds and rain the likes we’ve never seen before. And everywhere is pristine clean and clear. The veil of smog and dust and mutually condoned blindness, has been rent.

World poverty is over its due date – been there, done that. Australia mourns the disappearance of the middle class, the morally self sustaining buffer zone that maintained the illusion of fairness.

Politicians are on the back foot, reactive rather than pro-active. The media world has consented to ‘responsible censorship’ to protect themselves. The people, the ordinary folk, are leading the humanity. World wide, it is the meek who are inheriting the earth. In our transparency, the truth is seen and acknowledged and we respond. Just like nature itself. Adapt.

Cheerful and colourful blessings for the Chinese New Year: A new season for humanity.
