Can’t remember the author. It was in the Pete Seeger song book we old hippies learnt to play guitar from – way back then when we had such passion and hope.

It may now be the time of re-awakening for the Baby Boomers with natal Pluto in Leo, as Saturn and Mars are now igniting that fiery spirit. ‘Tis being played out well with the fires ravaging ‘old’ sets in California and old resentments erupting in the Middle East. Male Elders are in the spotlight. Egos are raging. Disparate groups are bombings to dust, an area of the planet that has been a centre of religious and historical significance for many people. The diversity this once protected has been destroyed. None of these groups can claim to be defending cultural traditions now. Meanwhile, the Eagle and the Bear are meeting at a guesthouse in Russia.

For those disillusioned old hippies, the signs and omens are here, now. Even the Crop Circles are, this year, providing a distinctively new perspective. It is definitely the end of one ERA and the beginning of another. Where is our energy and focus?

The Sun in Cancer is hosting Mercury retrograde. Venus is breezing thru her late stint in Gemini (think and decide) before joining the reunion in Cancer. It is the time to review past thinking and feelings. One perspective of concern is the emotional identification we express in patriotism. We are, ultimately, one HuMan Family. Antagonism or sharing – it’s our choice.
