Let your Light shine …
The Total Solar Eclipse in Leo is at 8.11 pm on Friday 1st August here on the East coast of Ozland. Mercury is just ahead of the Sun and new Moon. Venus in Leo is opposite Neptune in Aquarius. The blessings from Sirius are streaming forth through Leo into our own Solar Village Light – our Sun and hence into our own hearts. Drink it in!
What do we love about ourselves and how does what we love about being ‘me’ fit into the larger family group of humanity?
Where on our natal chart is our moon and what house (area of experience) is illuminated by Leo (the heart of Life – the Sun)?
Our family and ancestral groups have in the past, deeply affected the way we see ourselves and how we are ‘supposed’ to shine – usually to fulfill a social agenda. We are a social species and we want so much to have others love in us what we love in ourselves. And we want people to love what we love. For over two thousand years we have been taught to Know and Love ourselves and henceforth each other – and Life.
This Eclipse will highlight our disillusionment about the world – about humanity especially. Hiding within this disappointment is a feeling that we have have ‘missed the mark’ and detoured from Eden. We humans have overdosed on a punishment /reward mentality, designed to shape and mould our uniqueness into a socially acceptable way of being. The root of this discomfort is an innate (dis)belief in our place in Creation, the Universe, the Grand design of Life itself. Many of our inherited religious and scientific teachings and doctrines perpetuate toxic thinking. Too many of our laws and societal norms confirm a presumption of original sin. We question our own right to exist. We compete with each other for life’s blessings.
There is enough to share and there are solutions to our problems. A truly heartfelt courage is now called for.
Our financial system is based on ‘credit’ – a word which is also defined as ‘worth’. A quantum leap of evolution could take place if we all simply lived within our means and refused to go into debt. The ‘value’ of all we have created would be eclipsed by the reality of a relative usefulness.
“See the Lilies of the Field – they toil not nor do they spin …”
Nature has a wonderful way of living and being all of its own accord: a flower, a tree, a butterfly, a bird, a cat – they all just are – beautifully adorned, supremely designed and each having its time and space to shine.
i.e. Until humanity comes along and kills the bees, pollutes the waters, devastates the land, fast tracks the growing of the animals for consumption and robs the flowers and plant kingdoms of their natural essence.
Why?
Humans are learning to ‘create beyond what is’ and that invariably involves a projection of ego in some way or another. We want to build and create in the image of the Creator – of life itself. Our cities and lifestyles have lost the delight of living in the push to prove how we can improve. Intellect predominates. It safisfieth not. There is more to learn - Consciousness.
Over the last few decades, ‘ego’ has become a negative word. Yet, without the ego, we are unable to know ourselves. The ego creates a defense system designed to protect our individuality. Letting it go seems to invite self annihilation and we are frantic to hold onto whatever it is that enables us to be different, separate and with something unique to offer.
My Shamballa training taught me that the ego protects this uniqueness and that our task is to embrace and consciously, purposefully, develop our individuality to contribute to a greater whole : A daffodil is ostentatious, a peacock shows itself to the world in all its glory, the sun shines unabashed. Each has its part to play and each contributes to the whole.
This nakedness and transparency of the soul shining forth is a major discovery in this world. Here, on Urth, in a planetary world of continually changing diversity, each blade of grass, each leaf, each flower, each soul each human – is different yet connected with a grouping of some kind or another. It is an intricately designed, precariously balanced and fascinating, symbiotic system. It works.
At this stage in the planet’s unfolding evolution, we are also growing beyond the original tribal, racial and familial groups that previously defined us. The fundamentalism within us seeks a stable base – definitive laws, creeds and beliefs that shape our outer world so that we feel safe enough to exist and perhaps to live creatively. The extent to which we have ‘sold out our souls’ for security and acceptance is being highlighted over this month. It is time to retrieve our Love of Life.
In people we admire, we seek out the characteristics we think we can emulate. The relatively recent phenomena of fame and celebrity glamour – reflect our desire to have someone shine on behalf of and for us. The truth is – each of us has a profound responsibility in each incarnation – to discover, nurture and fulfill at least some our potential in the unique being that we are for a fleeting moment in time.
Finding that core of energy that flows forth naturally, the spark of the divine which emanates as light and love to the world – is a noble task.
This Eclipse on the 1st August, is when the moon (emotional patterns and programming which helped us create a self identity) moves between our Urth (Diversity and active intelligence) and the Sun (Loving Wisdom and Wise Love). The later Eclipse on 16th August will unveil more for the species of humanity and its spiritual purpose.
If what we feel about ourselves and how we express that in the world, is not glowing naturally, the world is lesser. Our world needs us to love ourselves and each other and life generally.
When any of us truly knows within the heart and soul, that we are part of and carry the seed within us, of all creation and life, then we do indeed glow.
It is called presence and it is our original innocence. It is worthy. When we truly know it and feel it, we can ‘wear our crowns lightly’.
Self awareness and the Love of Life – of loving being our unique selves for this lifetime – sparks this conscious presence.
And the world is better for this.

Risa’s site describes the esoteric perspective of the Eclipses and the regal role of Leo.
Planet Waves ‘How to become Unstuck’, provides an interesting essay on the Aquarian role and the personal in the group. Eric’s daily Blog for the Eclipse describes in detail, the Nodes and Eclipses and is a brilliant summary for Baby Boomer students of Life. For the younger ones (X and Y generations) much is revealed about the current collective consciousness you have inherited and bear witness to today. The Way forward can therefore become clearer for us all.
Shine forth !

Time to pass the Torch
The Lighting of the Olympic Torch Ceremony in Greece was beautifully choreographed in its ancient tradition. Here it is again: every four years, the Leap year when we catch up a day to tweak our human designed calendars to match solar time, and the year we celebrate with the Olympic Games.

This Saturday night, millions of man made lights will be turned off for an hour in a symbolic gesture of solidarity to demonstrate our willingness to restrain the affluenza that is a world plague.
Earth hour, from 8-9 pm. Across the globe.Time for the first fire of the season in a clean fireplace: home, hearth and friends by firelight. Or is that too much CO2 emissions?
Time for peace.
Spirit of Life
There are many festivals celebrated at this time of the solar cycle: the cosmic clocks of the Equinox and Aries Full Moon provide a focus in time and space for us to contemplate endings and beginnings, seasons and cycles. It provides a welcome release for holidays and regeneration.
“If we think about it too much, we miss the moment, that occurs in time and space, wherein we can expand beyond small and petty personal concerns and just be, here, right now, anywhere, anywhen, alive and oh, yes, aware.”
May this festival ‘time-out’ bring refreshment of the Spirit of Life.
Blessings,
Hilary

No commentsEnjoy the dawn-ings
There is a wonderful dawn vista to behold if you are enjoying the ambience of early morning walks. Venus and Jupiter are rising in the South East just prior to the sun heralding the day. They will gradually move closer together and on February 4th, will be joined by the Moon forming a triangle of loveliness.
Australia day (long weekend) is over and the strange phenomena of Leap Year reminds us of the folly of human intellect. [I'm one month early!]

My Blog posting this week is rather long and I therefore recommend you print it out and keep it for further reference. We are closing off one cycle and beginning another. By the Solstice, the next cycle will have begun.
The astrology references are: Venus in Scorpio and Mars in Cancer; the moon in Pisces then Aries; Saturn retrograding in Virgo; the conjuncting of Mercury then the Sun with the Galactic Core; the conjuncting of Mercury and then the Sun with Pluto; The node shift from Pisces to Aquarius; Jupiter’s entry into Capricorn. Planetary and humanity’s initiation.

I am also creating a new site: Bay Vigil as an expression of my own small contribution to the world need. Posting re this shall be updated here asap.
[* Update 18th December: bayvigil.org is born!] http://www.bayvigil.org
Find the inner central core of peace with one’s own connection with the Universal (and Holy) spirit from which all that is old may dissolve in time and all that is to emerge, shall be birthed.
The meeting of our hearts brings Love into the world;
The meeting of our minds brings Light into the world;
the merging of our Spirits is our calling…
We are here, Now.
Blessings !
No commentsMind you…then again…I wonder. Pffft!
A Grand Trine in Air; Mars opposes Pluto (at the Galactic Centre); Venus – now the morning star – opposes Neptune; The Equinox!
Flutterby blessings and prayers for peaceful thoughts and hearts.

No commentsBecoming Whole
The Solar Eclipse looms, beckoning us onwards through the corridors between the worlds. Spirit and matter, matter and spirit, how does the whole come into being? Fascinating !
The mystics are discovering the importance of being human and the third dimensional humans are discovering the importance of becoming conscious. We are living forms on a living planet in a living Galaxy in a living Universe.
The mini vortex that has held us betwixt since March 4th, has revealed much to the inner self for those who are receptive. The second of the solar village valves opens and closes on the 19th March.
Then the Equinox grants us a moment in time, when all is seemingly in balance. We have a natural biological urge towards stasis and harmony. It is a grand time to grant oneself the luxury of feeling at one with the world. The Green Comet Lovejoy has been discovered in the Southern Hemisphere and the Moon and Venus can be seen waltzing in the heavens just after sunset. Classic!
These two March eclipses are also forming a vortex flanked by the ‘valves’ of the two eclipses on the same Virgo/Pisces matrix in late August/September. It as if one particular line of energy is being re calibrated. The cosmic engineers seem to very efficient and organised.
With reference to esoterica – it’s all about spirit and matter, which is in a dialectical relationship in this world. The Trinary point seems to be our consciousness which influences our ability to interweave both the soul and the physical. ‘The lotus blossom has its roots in the mud’.
As the Aries Full Moon begins the new zodiac year on the 2nd/3rd of April, and we welcome a new Solar cycle, there’s lots to be aware of in terms of who/what we are as a species and as individuals. For some people it is, “I think, therefore I am”, for some it is “I feel therefore I am”, for some it is “I do, therefore I am”, for yet others it is, “ I know God therefore I am”.
Perhaps the potential of the HuMan is the interweaving of all four. We certainly need to consciously access each of these aspects of being in our life experiences. The quantum leap in evolution that is our destiny, dharma and karma, may well take all we’ve got and are anyway.
We are on a bridge which we need to create as we go. It is a new spiritual Path ahead. The old precedents, mindsets and paradigms that seemed solid enough for our conceptual frameworks, our gauges of real/unreal and our beliefs about life, are dissolving behind us so fast that we seem to have moments of hanging in midair.
I am personally launching into the experience of global traveller for the first time. It means deciding what to take, what is the ‘me’ wherever I go, the choices of direction and destination. I realise this is a metaphor for the greater journey – that of Life. The Fool card in the Tarot depicts the soul with its kit bag heading off into the greater world. In the traditional Rider-Waite pack, a dog barks and leaps at its feet, reminding the HU integrating into the MAN that it will have instincts and physical needs and to be conscious of where it is going and what it is doing. Life is risky and yet it IS a grand adventure.
The emerging paradigm of the holographic Universe grants greater freedom of perspective. New ways of ‘optimal’ thinking takes us into the Trinary point beyond duality.* We humans, the fourth Kingdom in Nature, are expanding our horizons and realising the potential of this grand moment in time wherein the human species can and must direct its own evolution consciously and purposefully.
The Occultation of both Pluto and the Sun may seem auspicious in the old perceptions of time and space that saw the heavens as ominous and the human condition as fragile and powerless. We are more mature, educated, enlightened and aware these days. That brings with it an added sense of responsibility. ‘Awesome’ has become very Real!
What do we know of the essence of our true selves: what aspects of ourselves are being revealed as undeveloped, as wounded by life’s experiences, as restrictive on the journey ahead? We can and do and will grow, nurtured by both the inner and the outer revelations and changes that are affecting the very foundations of our physical lives and our inner cores of knowing and being.
Blessings until Easter,
Significance
1. The Sun and Neptune are conjunct on 19 deg Aquarius.
2. Venus and Uranus are conjunct at 13 degrees Pisces.
3. Mars in Capricorn is sextile the Karmic Node in Pisces, 16 degrees exact.
Interpretation:
1. We are dreamy and sleepy.
2. We are being awoken.
3. We are urged to take the opportunity to initiate action with serious Karmic implications.
This is quite an eventful day.
1. We are deluded.
2. We are eccentric and arrogant.
3. We take the opportunity to grab what we can while we can.
1. We are inspired by the human spirit.
2. We have a marvellous brainwave / idea.
3. We do something about it and Civilisation agrees to respect the opportunity for Life that we have right Now.
1. The planet is surrounded in a strange mist all day.
2. Weird lights keep appearing and disappearing.
3. Archangel Michael informs the governments of the planet that their time is up.
One point of interest that is occurring with Jupiter in Sagittarius is the magnification of our beliefs and opinions – invariably emerging from deeply rooted mindsets from the past. The presence of Neptune in Aquarius and Uranus in Pisces is highlighting the need for us all to awaken to Knowledge and Enlightened thinking, rather than these entrenched self-serving ideas we may have about the way we WANT the world to be. Psychologically, we are faced with our own delusions and illusions about Life.
In Australia it is actually painful to watch people unable and unwilling to comprehend the importance of Knowledge – especially with regard to the Urth’s changing climatic environment. Beliefs and visions that have been so personally fulfilling and important in the past are being dragged into the Light and tested against reality to check their usefulness and sustainability. This applies to Immigrant cultures who want to continue their way of life freely in this country with blatant disregard for the physical and social realities here, (they need to learn to swim as well as speak English). Equally this applies to our politicians who still want the economy to be strong above all else with blatant disregard for the realities of Urth Changes looming on the (still comfortably distant) horizons. Both these examples illustrate the need to ‘let go’ of preconceived values and beliefs about Life.
Meanwhile the ordinary people in their daily lives are confronted with their own beliefs in leaders who reveal their feet are made of blood and bone just like theirs. We humans have a long history of wanting to ‘hand over our power’ in the past to any ‘father’ figure who seems to be in control. But humanity is growing up now, and in its adolescent state of being, is seemingly reluctant to take on the responsibility that true sovereignty bestows. A profound confrontation is occurring.
It’s another interesting day on Urth.
